It was a quiet afternoon in my hometown. I haven't been here for a while after my best friend went missing. She was honestly a quiet and non mean kid but there was always something off with her. She would always watch murder documentaries I never thought of how weird it was however always thought she wanted to be a crime investigator. She went missing a week before college started and old classmates have started going missing week by week. It was weird as once those old classmates were gone more students were going missing in college. Till I found a dead body in the girl's bathroom with her head missing I was horrified at the sight of it. It made me gag a lot soon the college became closed down as bodies were found in the basement of the school. The cops arrested the college art teacher cause it was done with his scissors which had his name on it. He was set in jail for 13 years. It was a pain as he was my father to see someone who I thought I knew do something like this. Soon after that people stopped going missing and it was good that they caught the man who killed them. Those poor kids I thought of at the time. I never visited my father in jail as all evidence of those murders was on him. The hair, DNA, and everything was his. When I walked into my apartment I was home alone as my roommates were visiting their parents and friends. I assume they just forgot to lock the door but walking around the house I kept finding the Ace of Spades cards Wherever I went I saw those cards. It isn't normal but when I called the police I was told it was just part of my imagination and that it was stupid to call them over cards. Here's the thing though. No one in this house but plays cards.
I found one of our knives missing from the knife holder. It was our sharpest knife out of the bunch. I grabbed a baseball bat and looked around the house to see if anyone was there. I walked into my room and turned the light on only to be stabbed by a girl in an ace mask. I looked up as she took her mask and I looked terrified. The girl who went missing. My best friend Ace is the one who stabbed me. Soon I put the pieces together. Each murdered victim always had a spades carved into their hands. She only laughed at me and carved a spade into my cheek then left into the woods. I called the police and ambulance but I was set in a mental hospital. No one believed me and they thought I was trying to kill myself. Now every day I have to look in the mirror to see the spades carved into my face from my best friend and my father behind bars.
